Oh, that was...a lot. Adrian has been doing his best to hide a limp from Healer Greatheart, not wanting any gross smelly herbal thing smeared anywhere, and the smile he wears when the game finally ends when he greets the other team's captains again is held with gritted teeth. It's more a bruised body than a bruised ego. Peckenpaugh fought hard, and they're going to keep fighting for at least four more games. As loses go, this was a good one.
There were certainly some points to practice on — picking out fake out passes and feints, handling slippery equipment — but those are worries for practice. Right now, with every sauce-covered hand high fived and the field emptying, the first order of business is a shower.
