If you got one of those memory rocks and don't mind sharing what you saw it seems to a lot of us like it'd be helpful to have em all in the same place. So consider this that place. Share your stories if you've got one, friends.

We're trying to piece together a whole ass story here and it seems like we've got a whole lotta half asses.

My stone involved Mr. Swint. Somewhat important to note that Pocket gave this memory back herself, the night of the fire at his shop. I'm not sure if he got the memory before or after, so that's, you know, just about as weird as everything else.

I saw a family picture above a hearth. There were cauldrons, and a woman was crying. (I think this was Marilynne Qualls), and a teenage boy was trying to comfort her (Lionel?). Then it cut to Caleb Qualls talking to Mr. Swint in the shop. I'd heard their conversation, before, in the Wildgulch springs when Kermit Creekmore tried to kill me. Mr. Swint said "You don't have to do this, Caleb." And he said that someone had to! And Mr. Swint told him that Paw Paw wasn't his responsibility. To think of Marilynne (who's Mr. Swint's sister, turns out.) And Mr. Qualls answered, "What about PECKENPAUGH," like that's more important than his wife.

He looked [...] resolved.
And then it cut out, that's all I saw.

Hmm. Maybe Mr. Qualls just really likes his job.

Hm.
Which was what, I wonder, before he was our dead computer teacher?

Living A/V club advisor? Undead TV star?

Oh I hope he's eternally famous.
Swint may be good to follow up on. I wonder how much else he remembered.

He's not still in the hospital is he. Like I know he's old but like low key old not fragile old right.

Oh, hardly fragile. I estimate just enough spite to outlive us all, despite all this. I don't know if they've let him out, though.
And if he is old and alone in the hospital, maybe he could use some visitors.

And if you give him another stroke at least he's already under medical care

He didn't hire me, therefore I deserve to give him at least one more (controlled) stroke.

The mid-60s. 1965 or 1966.

mothgarden head of house. muggle studies teacher. taught more muggle related elective courses before he died.

before that, i don't know. i don't know why peckenpaugh was so important to him.

Or why he thought he was more equipped to go deal with Paw Paw than anyone else, presumably.

maybe he's from paw paw. loyalty. i'd probably sacrifice myself for jefferson.

I absolutely wouldn't.
But if he felt responsible for what was happening in Paw Paw somehow. Just because he was from there [...] Well.
It's a stupid reason, but I suppose all of them are.

Do you know if Mr. Swint's still in the hospital, also?

mr. swint is back from the hospital. i can't ask him, though, i don't want him to be mad at me.

I can. I won't let it reflect poorly on you. Maybe he hasn't even realized we're related.

thank you. i did not realize how desperately i would crave his approval.

we're just two unrelated goth children with very expensive tastes.

It might have something to do with the Muggle Outreach Initiative being involved, combined with his professional interests.
Also, I'm not positive about the timeline, but his son's [...] involvement may have made it personal.

I've been researching the wrong teacher all year.
