This is an unnatural amount of pollen!  There's got to be an explanation, and Freya intends to discover it.  Squinting into the whirling white blizzard, she digs into her bag and pulls out a pair of goggles that she "borrowed" from the Quidditch equipment cupboard, snapping them into place over her curls.  This is absolutely because they don't distort your vision and muffle your hearing the way a Bubblehead Charm would, and not at all because she's thinking of the aesthetic here.
