The great thing about being as ridiculous as your roommate is that Pax had genuinely expected this moment to come, and thus she's ready to be ready to maybe choke to death on food flying through the air towards her mouth. Still, plans don't always work out perfectly, and it quickly becomes obvious that the peanut, while extremely close, isn't going to make it into her mouth. Not one to be deterred, Pax pretty much throws herself across the shoulder of the person in front of her to snatch the peanut out of the air with a whoop of triumph.
