Well. [...] I put it in the water and it didn't sink; it started darting along the surface like it was alive and it got away from me. When it got to the center, it went under and I thought I'd lost it until the fountain stopped and started making these weird sounds. The bubbler blew and the cicada came back through it, but its wings were unfolded and it was buzzing like a real cicada and it was covered in lichen.

I managed to catch it and it was [...] warm even after being in water. ~~I felt sorta stra~~ [...] Trudy was there too and she said I spaced out for a second. I don't know.

Anyway, it's normal again now. But the wings are still out.

hmmm !!!! the plot thickens!!!! i'm excited to see how it'll react to him on your hike? maybe it's like... tied to their ~bloodline~ or something. (i have no idea, i'm just reaching at this point.) glad to hear the fountain worked out though!! i'll keep being nosy in case there are more clues to overhear~

oh, yeah, we're applying to p&s. dolling commissions are kind of hard to keep up with, with school and unreliable internet and no fedex office and everything so... i think a steady, more reliable source of income would be nice. plus i really love potions and want to get more familiar with the ingredients??? and laszlo works there.

not really. you know how freshmen stay pretty insular. i could try talking to them, i just didn't want them to know i was snooping.

i thiiiink i have pretty good customer service skills, at the very least?? i like talking to people and i'm used to answering phones and helping with memorial services. i mean laszlo knows everything there is to know about potions but !!! i know a bit more about people? and i would look very cute behind the counter ! so with the two of us together, i think we'd make a really good team. (but i'm not setting my hopes too high just in case!! i didn't make the cut for alchemy, after all.)

like SOON soon? i only had one class today so i've spent the day making those eclairs and [......] i went a little overboard and made extras. and i thought you ~~deser~~ would like them. they're resting right now but i was going to give them out at dinner?

Trudy and I were both in the maze and trying to do our own things, but it kept forcing us in circles and making us walk together. Then it trapped us in one of those courtyard things for a while. It was just being a pain. It's nothing big, but if you go in, you might end up wasting your time.
