“Half a dozen,” the bear responds without missing a beat, “At the least.” He’s banking on this fancy raccoon being from out of town, although he’s almost positive he knows him all too well. More so than he would like, this past week. Still, if you say anything with enough confidence people tend to believe you. And it’s not really a lie if it’s like ... so obviously a lie.
“May Day bacchanalia is a particularly active time for the mazes,” he clears his throat, half-laugh half-growl. “That’s the day I met little Tony Jr’s momma.”
"But I'm Tony Jr's mother," Cicero points at his own chest, tweed blazer and all. He's already proven very bad at playing along with this game, or even semi-successfully hiding his own identity. His boots lace up to his knees, and there are little gears stuck to them for no reason.
For just a flickering, flash of a millisecond of a moment, Tony wonders if he should stop this bit now and preserve whatever good grace he has with Ms. Kwan. But naaaaah. “Aw, hey baby,” he gestures for Cicero to leave the throng of tourists and join his happy family as a guide, “Didn’t recognize you ‘neath that mask.”
In protest (or maybe to show up moth baby), Tony Jr. begins to wail.
The freshmen are starting to react like an audience. Cicero thinks he hears several gasp alongside Armani.
"Your blatant lies upset him," Cicero chides, completely unfazed that Tony is literally twice his size. He marches right up to him. "Are you out here looking for a co-parent to replace me???"
Tony has to tip his head down to keep sight of Cicero through the eyeholes of his bear mask. The younger boy is calling him a liar and simultaneously stepping right into the role of a spurned lover in this impromptu play. Maybe they'll get some house points for giving their guests both a tour and a show.
Glancing quickly over his shoulder, Tony makes note of how close he is to the greenery of the hedge garden. "I'm just out here givin' a tour to all these fine people," he gestures widely to the enraptured freshman with his free arm. "I'm not askin' the mazes for anything."
Armani cradles Lil Ma close to his chest, lest they get the idea to join Tony Jr.'s symphony of screams. "The two of you have already been Chosen," he says with the gravitas of some sort of Soothsayer. "It cannot be undone."
"All my friends are going to judge me for dating a senior," Cicero complains, beginning to pace. It's incredibly unclear if this is a joke or not. "Even worse if I have to chase your loyalty."
Alright, well, this took an unexpected turn. But Tony's gonna run with it. "You're just considerin' all this now?" He lifts Junior to his shoulder and bounces lightly on the balls of his feet as he pats the doll's back in time. Pulls up his bear cub hood to shield his ears. "We have a child together." He tips his head toward Armani and adds emphatically, "It cannot be undone."
"I'm not the one telling everyone—" Cicero gestures to the enraptured freshmen. "—that you're not the father and that I met some tart in a flower maze."
"Who's the tart?" Felicity materializes at the sound of gossip and drama. Her voice is slightly muffled by the ill-fitting pigeon mask, which she tugs at.
As for the rest of her outfit, Felicity wears jeans and a green sweatshirt. In plain view of Tony Jr.
