this is probably stupid. but can i show you some of the stuff we've been learning in occlumency?? maybe it'll help if something starts happening. i'm not an expert or anything, but even just knowing how to tell when someone's looking in is better than nothing. and i'm good at that!

mostly it's just learning the right mental techniques. like meditation, kinda?? you can sorta feel when it's right. i think we'd have to focus on that since i'm not much of a legilimens anyway. [...] it's good to get confirmation at some point, though. like, i know i'm good because mr. purcell will surprise us with surface-level scans and mom's [...] mom. maybe we could ask mr. purcell to do something like that for you if we get that far?

it's [...] hard to get into the right mindset at first? you have to sort of empty yourself out. like. clear your mind and turn off your emotions so you can pick up on the stuff that's outside of you. if that makes sense??

you don't need to be embarrassed, though. no matter how it goes. i think it's hard for everyone.
