No, that's traumatizing. Every time I try to do anything, I screw it all up. It's just validating to know that the feeling I get in my gut whenever I'm happy, that feeling that everything is about to be rotten again... Well, that it's real.

The hatch opened easily once one person from each house was present. And then we walked for a long time and wound up in the basement of a bowling alley in Paw Paw, I think. Or [...] somewhere parallel. There was a jagged crack in the ground with more glyphs about it.
