I heard Trullinger has some guest lecturer coming tomorrow. Who do you guys think it'll be?
[...]
I hope it's not a waste of time.

[...] I need an honest opinion. Think you can drop the saccharine act for me for a few minutes?
[Known Cicada Wielders]
Well. I went to dig up the cicada and it was just like Armani's. There was a layer of moss growing (took some pics), the shell was softer than before, and when I held it I got that [...] déjà vu feeling. It was definitely different from before but still fleeting. It's hard to get a handle on it.
So. That's one factor down, at least.
What's next?

Hey. You guys want to help me with something and practice those Sylvan skills?

seeee?? the vibes totally changed!! good to know it's not day/night cycle related though.
i buried mine in the ground last night and there were no new results when i checked in the morning. but then i brought it over to the surly stump and the shell started making cicada noises. and then the muscheron came out from the stump to claim it and the way they were carrying it so carefully, it was like... a precious item to them. a red-capped one came out to thank me and i could feel the surly stump was thankful as well. but there was an air of melancholy to the whole thing, like... i don't know. thankful, but guilty.
anyway, the cicadas belong in the stump.

That's [...] a development. Did it say anything else?
[...]
Frankly, thankful but guilty sounds like bad news to me.

yes!! "thanks you, human spore. return'tzzzlaayy sheshe koreetul" oh! and they gave me a vintage tamagotchi. it's pink and cute.
i told you about my dream, right? about the forest being destroyed? that's how i got the idea to return the cicada to the stump, that they might be connected. now THAT'S intuition!

What the hell's a tamagotSounds like it wants the rest of them back, anyway. That [...] qualifies. I don't know shit about divination or dreams or whatever, but consider me impressed.

definitely ! they were all so happy to have it returned too... so that's probably where the cicadas belong. otherwise, i don't think it would've cried just like it was alive again. plus it's always a good thing to be in the fairies' good graces.

I still don't understand why this happened and it feels sort of anticlimactic but [...] you're probably right. Should we get everyone together and take them all back?
