Armani hands Merlin a black patisserie box at lunch. Inside are several strawberry lemon shortbread bars with white chocolate chips and shortbread crumbles on top.

Left in the Thorntrail common room:

Two trays worth of prototypes piled on a big plate. Some of the bars have slightly burnt white chocolate chips, not enough shortbread crumblies, too many shortbread crumblies, or are just cut unevenly.

Armani takes a seat at the table next to Merlin and smiles very sweetly at Val.

"Hi, honey," she greets, looking like she's caught onto something, but whatever it is, she doesn't comment on it. "How's your day going?"

"Busy, busy~" he singsongs, propping his chin on a hand. His smile widens into a grin as he catches that look.

"Y'all excited for this weekend?" he asks the group.

Merlin is clearly surprised by this...but just as clearly delighted! His lunch won’t consist entirely of shortbread bars but it will definitely include more than one. He’ll thank Armani and invite him to stay if he wants to?

Armani grins brightly, pleased as punch. When Merlin invites him to stay, he looks back toward The Goth Table and considers for a moment before thanking Merlin and sitting down with the cool Mothgarden seniors. Hello~~
