Research. There might be something about this in the library archives? I also want to go back and examine the mirror in more depth, because I only tried basic variants on Revelio and there's probably more to discover there.

In a book that would probably shatter the connection and break the doorway (or whatever it is?) for good. But this is real life, so Reparo or a new mirror might just as easily reconnect it again.
