what's up?

'Tis the season for love and brotherhood, but not inside the debate classroom! Cicero expects you all did your research on this month's topic, because it's time to decide on the ethical ramifications of Santa's workshop.

The room is decorated with some string lights and paper snowflakes. In the center of the room is a chair, to which Cicero has tied up [Non-Debate 'Volunteer' A] in even more string lights. They are dressed as Santa, because today, the jolly old toymaker is on trial for Christmas crimes.

TOPIC: Santa Claus exploits the lack of labor laws in
the North Pole and should be subjected to sanctions.

Hopefully the Elf on the Shelf doesn't make an appearance.

how this works!

⬥ This is Cicero's first year as Debate President and he's taking his appointment very seriously.

⬥ Debate club members are invited to assign their character's debate stats, which can be leveled up in the future by public speaking, getting into arguments, or doing research throughout the month. These will help your RNG results in future DEBATE DUELS!

⬥ The arguments section is where you get judged by Cicero, who isn't totally impartial, but Ms. Altizer and Mr. Berzelius are here to keep an eye on him. You can also reply to the oppenents' arguments to refute them!

⬥ I'll announce who won sometime this weekend to give everyone a chance to play in the space. For now, you'll just get Cicero's sparkling commentary.

⬥ Cicero is also actively recruiting to get more! asses! in! debate club! If your character came to watch or passed by or made eye contact with Cicero, please comment there to hear a very convincing argument about why you should join.
