If hillbilly is a slur, then why do you identify with it? Legit question, not meant to be mean.

I think in 1899, they still thought of natives as bad, I guess. Now they've got the Indians. Not better at all.

I don't know if I'd say identify. We've been called hillbillies more than once or twice. When people say hillbilly, they usually mean people like us.
